Saxophonist Andrew Urbina, drummer Matt Scarano, and bassist Sandy Eldred crossed paths while working as side-men on the Philadelphia jazz scene Deciding to defy jazz conventions, where soloists usually take the spotlight, they formed their own band and developed a strong camaraderie.
